Designed in Italy with performance-grade cushioning, Elizée heels promise the rare combination of glam and comfort—and that was the founder's plan all along.

Elizée, founded by former finance and tech executive Erika Carrero, is quietly (and quickly) gaining a cult following for one reason: heels that look stunning and legitimately feel good for hours. Think Italian craftsmanship, performance-grade cushioning, and silhouettes you actually want to show off at a holiday event.
And this week—just in time for back-to-back parties—the brand has several styles available that were basically made for standing, mingling, dancing, and still feeling your toes by midnight.
A founder who built the luxury heel she wished existed

Carrero spent years in corporate boardrooms, living in heels because they were part of her personal style—and, frankly, part of her presence. “I’ve always loved living life in heels,” she says. “But I knew they could be better. Gorgeous, yes—but why should beauty come with pain?”
That question became the spark. While still a finance executive, she started taking technical footwear design courses in Milan and working hands-on with Italian artisans, podiatrists, and engineers. What began as a hobby turned into an obsession.
“I didn’t just want to make a beautiful shoe—I wanted to solve a real problem,” she says. “So I treated it like any strategic project: research, test, refine.”
When the tech company she worked for sold, she had a choice: jump into another high-stakes leadership role, or finally pursue the dream she’d had on the side. She chose the latter.
“Women today are demanding more from their footwear,” she says. “Style can’t come at the expense of comfort anymore.”
Thus, Elizée was born: luxury heels designed for modern, high-performing women who want both elegance and wearability.
What makes these heels feel different immediately

Elizée’s defining trait is the fit—something you can feel the second you slip on a pair. “Usually it’s: ‘Wow—these are actually comfortable,’” Carrero says. “You feel the cushioning, the support, the balance right away. Nothing pinches or digs.”
That’s not accidental. Inside every shoe is what she describes as a proprietary insole system—triple-layer cushioning, pressure-dispersing contouring, and aerospace-grade high-performance materials. The construction process is just as specialized: the comfort components aren’t simply inserted but integrated during production with precise timing and pattern engineering.
One detail most shoppers never notice—but absolutely feel—is the forefoot design. “That’s where you feel the most pressure,” she explains. “Even a few millimeters can make a huge difference.” As someone with sensitive feet herself (including bunions), Carrero uses her own comfort as the first test. “If a style hurts me, it doesn’t make it to production.”
She also personally tests every prototype, in addition to using fit models with different foot shapes. “If a shoe doesn’t feel great by the end of the day, it’s a no-go.”
The result: heels that are engineered, not guessed at.
The best Elizée heels to wear for holiday parties

This is where Elizée really shines—cocktail parties, office celebrations, weddings, holiday dinners, and New Year’s Eve. Not just because the styles look elevated, but because you can wear them all night without sacrificing the rest of your week recovering.
Below are the standout holiday picks, based on Carrero’s own recommendations and customer favorites.

Elizée Adriana Sandal
If you want a classic, commanding high heel that doesn’t punish you, this one has a track record. “One customer with arthritis told us she can wear them for 10 hours without pain,” Carrero says. “She now owns three pairs.” The silhouette is timeless, and the cushioning makes a noticeable difference within minutes.

Elizée Fiorella Sandal
Lightweight, supportive, and elegant—the criss-cross straps add stability while still feeling playful. Carrero recalls a customer who wore them to a gala where she stood and walked on concrete for eight hours. “By the end of the night, she was the only one still in heels—and feeling great.” For holiday sparkle, the version with crystal-encrusted straps is a total showstopper.

Elizée Karlie Sandal
A mid-heel option that gives height without pushing you into stiletto territory. The structured, cage-like upper feels modern while staying comfortable for long wear. “A customer told us they felt modern and even a little sexy,” Carrero says—proof that elegance doesn’t have to come with a 4-inch heel.

Elizée Ametista Sandal
Carrero’s personal pick. “It’s my absolute favorite,” she says. “I can be in them all night and still feel great.” Adjustable ankle straps add support and a leg-elongating effect. The brand brought this style back after it sold out because customers—and the founder—couldn’t live without it.
Colors and materials that feel festive (but not too seasonal)

Elizée doesn’t go full theme-party with its holiday collection. Carrero is strategic about choosing colors and materials that nod to the season but won’t sit unused the rest of the year.
“Metallics, lace, and shimmer feel festive but still versatile,” she says. Red patent and leather (especially in the Adriana and Portia) play into holiday dressing without feeling costume-y. Gold and platinum metallic grained leather offer subtle shine, while a snakeskin print adds dimension.
And yes—the brand is inclusive on nudes, offering multiple shades so women can get a seamless, leg-lengthening match for their skin tone.
Building a luxury brand that feels approachable

Despite the quality and the Italian craft behind the shoes, Carrero insists that “luxury shouldn’t be intimidating.” Her approach is intentionally human.
“We share real women and real stories, not just polished campaigns,” she says. One of their upcoming ads features a flight attendant who actually wears Elizée heels during flights. “That authenticity keeps the brand approachable.”
The team also stays unusually close to shoppers—DMs, emails, virtual fittings, in-person events. When customers mentioned needing longer ankle straps? The brand quietly adjusted styles in future production. When women asked about certain heel heights? They took note and iterated.
“We price with care,” she adds. “Our shoes have the same quality and materials as traditional luxury brands but without excessive markups. It’s thoughtful, fair luxury—still elevated, but accessible.”
Where the brand is headed next

If you’re expecting Elizée to slow down, don’t. Carrero says comfort-driven luxury is expanding fast. “Women are done compromising,” she says. Trends heading into 2026 include stretch materials, soft nappa, flexible synthetics, and a wave of kitten heels, slingbacks, and metallic finishes.
The brand is also developing a next-generation insole system—still in prototype phase—that Carrero says is “unlike anything on the market.”
And beyond heels? “We’re expanding into wholesale and developing new categories, including handbags,” she shares. Special collaborations with women-led brands are also on the way.
