Undeniably chic, slightly sultry, and surprisingly easy to style, lace-up shoes are absolutely everywhere right now—and they're about to become your new spring/summer footwear obsession. Borrowing design cues from the historic corset, yet undeniably Y2K-inspired in aesthetic, lace-up shoes were an instant hit when they emerged on the catwalks during the Spring/Summer 2025 show season. They came in various iterations, but were tied together (quite literally) by the distinctive lace-up detailing featured across the front.
Elizée’s take on the trend: our Fall Edit shows how we’ve embraced lace-up style with two designs—handcrafted in Italy, made to stand out, and easy to wear.
Laced in Texture: Ametista
The Ametista is our elevated take on the lace-up sandal. Handcrafted in Italy with rich textures—from python-stamped leather to croco-embossed finishes—it’s designed with wraparound ties that flatter the ankle and draw the eye upward. The balanced heel and discreet platform make it as wearable as it is striking.
In Crème Python, Ametista adds a subtle sheen that works beautifully with slip dresses or tailored shorts. In Honey Tan Croco, the warm textured finish pairs seamlessly with autumn neutrals, wide-leg trousers, or knit skirts. However it’s styled, Ametista proves that lace-up sandals can move easily from day into night.
The Case for Mesh: Bella
Bella brings a different angle to the lace-up story—part bootie, part evening statement. Its mesh panels strike the balance between coverage and reveal, a theme seen across recent styling on the runways.
In Black Suede, Bella is striking under a maxi skirt or styled with wide-leg trousers to add structure. In Nappa Nude, it works beautifully for transitional looks, light enough to wear with dresses or layered with denim. The lace-up front allows for personalization, but more importantly, it gives every outfit a focal point.
With our Fall Edit, Elizée’s lace-up shoes—Ametista and Bella—capture the energy of the trend while staying true to what defines us: artisanal Italian craftsmanship, bold design, and comfort technology built into every pair.
