I recently returned from an incredible trip to Costa Rica with my family, an adventure that began on the stunning Papagayo Peninsula. Throughout our vacation, my Elizée Brigitte wedges were my go-to shoes – perfect for dinners at the resort, lounging by the pool, and exploring the hot springs. I'd love to share a glimpse of our unforgettable Costa Rican experience with you and hopefully inspire your future trip to this beautiful destination.

The warm ocean water of the Papagayo Peninsula was perfect for swimming, and we spent our days exploring the area, including zip lining and tree canopy and rope courses. Spotting monkeys in their natural habitat, swinging through the trees, was a special highlight.

The boat rides to local restaurants added a unique touch to our experience, and the always refreshing coconut water kept us hydrated throughout our stay.

From Papagayo, we made our way to Monteverde, known for its cloud forest. The journey itself was an adventure, with about three hours of driving through the heart of the dense forest. The winding roads were often shrouded in fog, offering views that were eerie yet beautiful. The state parks are a must-see, with their hanging bridges that cross from one hill to the next. We were thrilled to see sloths, butterflies, and, for the brave, snake habitats. Staying at a secluded hotel added to the magic, with local animals visiting our bungalow. This peaceful atmosphere was a nice contrast to our adventure-packed days.

Our final stop was near the Arenal Volcano. We walked across the solidified lava flows from past eruptions and relaxed in the natural hot springs. The La Fortuna Waterfall was another highlight; the descent was steep, but the view was worth every step. I won’t ever forget the beautiful sounds of the water crashing down.

My Brigitte wedges handled the rain and sun effortlessly, in total comfort. While I saved them for the more relaxed days of our trip, they were the perfect accessory for everything except hiking adventures.
