A Birthday Celebration to Remember
There’s nothing like a getaway with my closest girlfriends to celebrate another year around the sun. This trip was all about new milestones, reconnecting, lifting each other up, and indulging in all the things that make life exciting—amazing food, cocktails, sunshine, dancing, a little bit of fun mischief and of course, fashion.

The Crew
We were a group of eight amazing women, each holding a special place in my life. A dear childhood friend from kindergarten, my best friend from Latin America since we were 12, and a friend I hadn’t seen in 20 years but reunited with as if no time had passed. There was also the friend I met at a bar in London, an instant connection, my Bay Area friends who are like family, and a university friend now in Miami. Each brought a unique energy that made this trip unforgettable.
Day 1: Kicking Off the Celebration
We started our trip with brunch at Dior Café—set on the rooftop terrace of the Dior women's boutique, it offers the perfect brunch menu featuring 3D sculptures of giraffes, bears, and tigers. The ambiance was effortlessly chic and the ideal way to begin our celebration.
After strolling through Miami’s Design District, a little downtime, and an outfit change, we headed to Casadonna for dinner. The waterfront setting, warm lighting, and elegant decor made it feel like a luxurious escape and the perfect backdrop for Instagram-worthy moments. The menu featured exquisite Italian dishes.
The night wasn’t over yet—we ended up at Sala de Despecho, a Latin bar where heartache songs turn into celebration. This place is all about belting out songs at the top of your lungs, embracing the moment, and welcoming new energy. It was fun, liberating, and exactly what we needed!
Day 2: Sun, Laughter & Local Gems
After a much-needed slow morning, we made our way to Amara at Paraiso, a stunning Miami waterfront restaurant. Think Latin American dishes packed with flavor, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect sunny day in February. The atmosphere embodied everything Miami is about—relaxed yet full of life.
That night? La Mar for the main birthday dinner. One of the best Peruvian spots in town, with dazzling views of Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline. The food? 10/10. The atmosphere? Immaculate. The company? Even better. Some of my local friends joined in, making the night even more special.
Day 3: Ocean Breeze & a Touch of Glam
A Miami trip isn’t complete without some time on the water. We spent the afternoon on a private boat, thanks to one of my girlfriends—her husband played captain while we sipped, laughed, and took in those stunning ocean views. Some of us even jumped in for a swim because, why not?

The music, the cocktails, the hammocks—it was the best way to close out our Miami adventure.
This trip was everything I had hoped for and more—an unforgettable celebration of friendship, adventure, and pure joy. Every moment reminded me how lucky I am to have these incredible women by my side. Until the next getaway!
