Part of our Comfort & Craft series — a guide to understanding what truly makes luxury heels wearable.
Comfort in luxury heels comes from support, cushioning, and proper alignment. Look for designs that include a cushioned insole, shock absorption, and a heel that keeps weight centered rather than forcing pressure forward.
Premium materials matter as well. Soft leather adapts to the foot and helps reduce pressure points over time. Platforms and block heels often feel more stable for long occasions, while a thoughtfully designed stiletto can still feel comfortable if the pitch and support are well balanced.
When trying on heels, pay attention to how the shoe feels at the ball of the foot, how stable the heel feels when standing, and whether the shoe feels secure immediately rather than needing to be “broken in.”
